The ACP College Media Mega Workshop is next week, which means it’s time to get packing.

We can’t wait to meet all of you. This is truly a special conference, with a wide variety of tracks and 150 attendees and instructors. These three days will make a real, significant difference for you and your publication. Are you ready?

Here’s what you need — and what you won’t. Please read to the end of this email so you don’t miss any important details.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, in Murphy Hall. From there you’ll instructions for the location of the 1 p.m. opening session.

Commuter parking

If you are commuting each day, we recommend parking in
the Church Street Garage or
East River Road Garage.
These parking ramps have a daily $12-$15 open rate.

You have until 9 a.m. CT Thursday to contact ACP’s Karli Keith,
to secure the $11 parking rate at the residence hall.

Accommodations & parking

Middlebrook Hall
412 22nd Ave. South

Residence-hall check in starts at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Make sure you have a photo ID when you check in.

Check out is at noon Sunday.

You can view an interactive map of the campus here.

Upon check-in, you will receive your room key, building card access and parking pass (if you purchased one). Consult the residence hall for parking instructions.

If you are checking in after 8 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday, please let us know your arrival time. If the front desk is not staffed upon your arrival, call the phone number posted there to get service.

If you did not pre-register for parking, you will need to pay the regular daily rate as you enter/exit. These parking ramps have a daily rate of $12-$15.

There are a few options for getting to campus from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, all of which are available at the airport terminals. Google Maps is extremely helpful, and it can offer up-to-date public transit times and more.

Metro Transit: The northbound Blue Line train stops at the MSP airport terminals 1 and 2. At the U.S. Bank Stadium Station stop, transfer to the eastbound Green Line train to St. Paul. Exit the train at the West Bank Station platform, and Middlebrook Hall is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The fare is normally $1.75, but it increases to $2.25 during rush hour periods, from 6-9 a.m. and 3-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday).

SuperShuttle is available from the airport directly to the dorms.

Taxi service at Terminal 1 is accessible via the Tram Level (Level T). Signs direct passengers one level up to the taxi starter booth, where airport staff will assist passengers in obtaining a taxi. At Terminal 2, taxi service is available at the Ground Transport Center, on the ground level of the Purple Ramp directly across from the terminal building.

If you plan to arrive after 8 p.m, we recommend you take Lyft or Uber from the airport to the residence halls.

Lyft should pick you up from Terminal 1 on Level 2 of the Green Parking Ramp, above the transportation center. Pick up from Terminal 2 is available from the Ground Transport Center, on the ground level of the Purple parking ramp.
